Janika Sprunger & Carlotta Spring to First in €27,560 Institut Estherderm Prize CSI 2* at Equita Lyon

Lyon, France – October 28, 2021 – After coming off a break due to motherhood Janika Sprunger (SUI) was back and not only that, the Swiss rode Carlotta to victory in the €27,560 Institut Estherderm Prize CSI 2* on Thursday during the Longines Equita Lyon CSI 5*-W & 2*.

Riding the 9-year-old grey Westphalian mare (Cornet Obolensky x Arpeggio), Sprunger sped towards victory across the finish line after clearing all the 1.45m obstacles, registering no penalties in 67.31 seconds.

The Swis was a half second faster than Thomas Leveque (FRA) and Dzara Dorchival (Qlassic Bois Margot x Raphael), who secured silver honors in 67.81 seconds.

The host nation was on the podium again as Nicolas Deseuzes (FRA) and Feyah earned bronze honors due to their penalty-free performance in 68.19 seconds.
