A Victory for Victor Bettendorf & Astuce de La Roque at the Vilamoura Champions Tour CSI 3*

Vilamoura, Quarteira, Faro, Portugal – October 21, 2021 – After solid performances last week, Victor Bettendorf (LUX) climbed to the top of the podium on Thursday during the third week of the Vilamoura Champions Tour at the Vilamoura Equestrian Centre. This time, the Frenchman rode  Astuce de La Roque to first place in the Final Results – €25,400 Jump-off Challenge CSI 3*.

Bettendorf and the 2010 bay Selle Français mare (Kannan x Quick Star) were better than 11 other combinations in the jump-off, registering the fastest overall time of 36.28 seconds yet still not having a single penalty attributed to them.

Winners of the €36,100 Jump-Off Challenge CSI 4* last Saturday, Michael Pender (IRL) and HHS Catwalk came close to another victory, this time finishing second due to their clean jump-off effort in 37.45 seconds.

Once again, Britain was also represented on the podium. Alex Thompson (GBR) was double clear aboard Cathalina S, posting the third fastest clean performance in the decisive phase, crossing the timers in 39.42 seconds.
