
Vilamoura, Quarteira, Faro, Portugal – October 21, 2021 – After solid performances last week, Victor Bettendorfย (LUX) climbed to the top of the podium on Thursday during the third week of the Vilamoura Champions Tour at the Vilamoura Equestrian Centre. This time, the Frenchman rode ย Astuce de La Roque to first place in the Final Results โ โฌ25,400 Jump-off Challenge CSI 3*.
Bettendorf and the 2010 bay Selle Franรงais mare (Kannan x Quick Star) were better than 11 other combinations in the jump-off, registering the fastest overall time of 36.28 seconds yet still not having a single penalty attributed to them.
Winners of the โฌ36,100 Jump-Off Challenge CSI 4*ย last Saturday, Michael Penderย (IRL) andย HHS Catwalkย came close to another victory, this time finishing second due to their clean jump-off effort in 37.45 seconds.
Once again, Britain was also represented on the podium. Alex Thompson (GBR) was double clear aboard Cathalina S, posting the third fastest clean performance in the decisive phase, crossing the timers in 39.42 seconds.
