Grimaud, France – October 17, 2021 – The host nation was not disappointed on the final day of competition of the 2021 season at the Hubside Jumping. The highlight of the CSI 2* classes, the €25,400 Hubside Grand Prix CSI 2* provided a dream podium for any supporter of the French squad. In fact, France claimed the top six spot in the contest with Philippe Rozier (FRA) and his talented Night Light Van’T Ruytershof leading the way after a breathtaking jump-off.
The Frenchman guided the 2013 Belgian Warmblood stallion (Gemini CL x For Pleasure) flawlessly over all the 1.45m obstacles before blazing across the finish line in 40.71 seconds.
Two other stars followed him onto the podium, both backed by two penalty-free efforts each. Nicolas Delmotte (FRA) secured the second spot on the podium aboard Citadin du Chatellier (l’Arc de Triomphe*Bois Margot x Diamant de Semilly), timed in 41.31 seconds.
Simon Delestre (FRA) put on two solid efforts on Iniesta V (Zambesi TN x No Limit), the decisive one only two hundredths of a second slower than the latter two.
Winner’s Circle – Philippe Rozier (FRA)
“Night has really come on during these four weeks of the Fall Tour”, explained the Rio Olympic Games champion. “This is his first international win, he’s a real warrior in the ring. I think Le Coultre is really going to be the successor to Rahotep. The idea is that they mutually protect, and complement each other from one competition to the next”.
