Jérôme Guery & Eras Ste Hermelle Jump to First in €30,000 CaixaBank Trophy CSIO 5*

Barcelona, Spain – October 03, 2021 – Jérôme Guéry (BEL) and Eras Ste Hermelle were the winners of the €30,000 CaixaBank Trophy CSIO 5* this Sunday, the opening class on the third and final day of the 109th CSIO Barcelona.

The Belgian, a team bronze medalist at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, was the fastest of the 10 riders who entered the winning round after completing the first round without penalties, teaming up with the 11-year-old chestnut Belgian Sport Horse stallion (Vagas Ste Hermelle x Andiamo), posting a final time of 51.63 seconds for the victory.

A familiar face on the podium throughout the week, Lillie Keenan (USA) rode Agana van Het Gerendal Z towards silver honors, doing so in 53.14 seconds.

The third position on the podium by the Swiss great, Steve Guerdat (SUI), this time aboard Dynamix de Belheme. The former number one in the world completed the winning round in 53.42 seconds.
