Oliva Nova, Spain – October 01, 2021 – The 2021 Mediterranean Equestrian Tour Fall Series kicked off last Wednesday and it was Melie Gosa (FRA) and Alouette d’Eole who claimed the first major class of the week, Friday’s €25,500 Grand Prix Qualifier CSI 2*.
Riding her very own 2010 Selle Français mare (Mylord Carthago*HN x Helios de La Cour II), Gosa was able to advance and complete the 1.45m two-phase challenge without having any penalties attributed to them, securing the win in 27.30 seconds at the end of phase two.
The second spot on the podium was claimed by Great Britain with Jackson Reed Stephenson (GBR) and Muna vd Bisschop (Cornet Obolensky x Nabab de Reve) earning silver honors in 27.67 seconds.
Mario Wilson Fernandes (POR) and Joie de Vivre Ter Eycken (Muscaris d’Ariel x Cartier Vd Heffinck) gave the host nation something to cheer about rounding out the top three in 28.14 seconds.
