Rome, Italy – September 15, 2021 – For the second week in a row, the battle for the crown of Champion of Champions is on at the Circo Massimo for the thirteenth leg of the 2021 Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT) at Rome in Italy. Just gladiators of the past did, warriors of the noble sport have made the journey to the symbol of the Roman Empire in pursuit of fame and fortune.
Besides defending the colors of Stal Tops, both Edwina Tops-Alexander (AUS) and Alberto Zorzi (ITA) will be under pressure to deliver great results. Edwina looks to score precious points in the championship race while Zorzi has the goal of making the vibrant tifosi even happier with a victory in the grand prix. Fences set up to 1.60m high and a strong international field of five-star equestrians and horses are what stands in their way of achieving their goals.
