Kristen Vanderveen & Bull Run’s Prince of Peace Come Up Big in $75,000 BFL Winning Round CSI 5*

Toronto, Canada – August 22, 2021 – Kristen Vanderveen (USA) and Bull Run’s Prince of Peace claimed the win in the $75,000 1.45m BFL Winning Round CSI 5* last Sunday during the third leg of Major League Show Jumping at Angelstone Tournaments in Rockwood, Toronto, Canada.

The top 10 combinations advanced to the winning round with the American and the 12-year-old bay Holsteiner gelding (Cardenio 2 x Contender) repeating their clean performance from the first round of the 1.45m challenge, yet still being able to register the fastest time of 35.82 seconds for the victory.

Shane Sweetnam (IRL) & Birdy du Thot

The most successful rider of the week was certainly Shane Sweetnam (IRL). Before going on to finish second in the $217,000 CabanaCoast Grand Prix CSI 5* and after sharing the win in the $75,000 Horse Pilot Open CSI 5*, the Irishman teamed up with Birdy du Thot for a second-place finish. The duo also registered two penalty-free efforts, earning silver honors backed by a final time of 36.51 seconds.

Paul O’Shea (IRL) & Squirt Gun

Paul O’Shea (IRL) and Squirt Gun (Magic d’Elle x Le Tot de Semilly) completed the podium, registering no penalties and a time of 36.96 seconds in the winning round.
