Leona Baron & Olivier Perreau Fly High to Share the Win in Mercedes-Benz Six-Bar Challenge CSI 5*

Valence, France – August 20, 2021 – Unbelievable !!! At the end of the impressive โ‚ฌ20,000 Mercedes-Benz Six-Bar Challenge CSI 5*, it is not one, but two combinations who managed to cross, last night, within the framework of the Hubside Jumping de Valence CSI 5*, the last jump-off atโ€ฆ 2, 00m !!!!

After a first pass at 1.50m and a first jump-off at 1.65m cleared by the eight competitors at the start, six of them gradually inclined to 1.80m and then 1.95m.

At the final jump-off of the event, at the dizzying height of 2.00m, only three remained: Tom Favede (FRA) in the saddle on Amarula du Cerf (3rd), Olivier Perreau (FRA) on GL Events Dorai d’Aiguilly and , finally, the very young Lรฉona Mermillod Baron (FRA), perched on Cesar du Terroir. If the first named did not manage to get out of the line without overturning the bar, Olivier Perreau (FRA) and Lรฉona Mermillod Baron (FRA) flew away, literally carried by the public.

Lรฉona Mermillod Baron (FRA)

“I had already participated in a Six-Bar Challenge, but not with Cesar du Terroir. Basically, I just had to jump the first round, and finally, one thing leading to another, we managed to jump 2.00m!

Olivier Perreau (FRA)

“GL Events Dorai dยดAiguilly is an eight-year-old mare. The objective of this event was to work the mare . I am sincerely very happy because she behaved very well. We are really good up there !!! We can count on a great crowd in Valencia, that’s great.”
