
Valence, France – August 20, 2021 – One of the winningest and fastest combinations in the noble sport of showjumping were up to their old tricks on Friday, claiming top honors in the €25,400 Celside Prize CSI 5*. Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA) and Carlotta 232 flew to win the 1.50m CSI5* two phases on Friday at the Hubside Jumping de Valence.
Riding the speedy 12-year-old dark bay Oldenburg mare (Chaccomo x Cento), Gaudiano blazed towards and completed the second phase flawlessly, securing the victory in 31.55 seconds.
Nicolas Delmotte (FRA) and Citadin du Chantelier (L’Arc de Triomphe*Bois Margot x Diamant de Semilly) were less than two-tenths of a second slower than the eventual winners, a mark that would earn them silver honors.
Roger-Yves Bost (FRA) and Ballerine du Vilpion raced around the track while leaving all the poles up on both sections of the two-phase challenge,

“Carlotta 232 jumped really well today. Yesterday we had a little problem with the distance at obstacle number 7. Today she was really fresh, very fit and really responded . Tomorrow I’ll be riding her in the CSI 5 * at 1.45m and we’ll see how it goes.”
