
Langley, Canada – August 15, 2021 – Ben Asselin (CAN) and The Freshman flew to first in the $50,000 Tbird Grand Prix last Sunday during the Summer Fort Welcome at the Thunderbird Show Park. Only two combinations out of all the participants managed to complete the first-round course without having any penalties attributed to them. The Canadian and the 11-year-old bay Dutch Warmblood (Namelus R x Chin Chin) were the only ones to complete the tiebreaker flawlessly, crossing the timers in 42.15 seconds.
Christopher Lowe (CAN) and Cunningham 4 had four penalty-points in the jump-off, finishing second in 42.54 seconds.
Brian Morton (CAN) and Cadillac were the fastest of the four-faulters, rounding out the top three due to their first time of 80.19 seconds in the first round.
