Chantilly, France – August 01, 2021 – Denis Lynch (IRL) provided much of the drama to bring to an end a week of top sport at the Equestrian Centre de Peelbergen. In the end, the Irishman and Visa Z were victorious, claiming the main class of the week, the €25,700 Seacon Logistics Grand Prix CSI 2* on Saturday.
A total of twenty-combinations had qualified for what promised to be a thriller right down to the wire. Marcus Ehning (GER) and Comme Il Faut had led backed by a great jump-off performance in 41.65 seconds.
Matthew Sampson (GBR) and Geneve R (Eldorado Vd Zeshoek x Berlin) counted on a bit of luck, making it unscaved across the finish line while lowering the leading time, registering a time of 41.68 seconds.
Denis Lynch (IRL) and the 2012 chestnut Zangersheide gelding (Vigo d’Arsouilles Stx x Quidam de Revel) were the last to go and the dynamic duo provided even more excitement to all spectators present! They soared over all the 1.45m obstacles on the course before nipping the previous leaders by just three hundredths of a second.
