
Berlin, Germany – July 30, 2021 – Sergio Álvarez Moya (ESP) has “climbed the ladder” to the top of the 2021 Longines Global Champions Tour standings after winning the €300,000 Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Berlin CSI 5* last week.The Spaniard has a six-point lead over Edwina Tops-Alexander (AUS), who is in second place with 152 points.
It’s a tight race and former leader for the tour crown of Champions of Champions with Peder Fredricson (SWE) dropping to third place after having tallied 149 points so far. Ben Maher (GBR) is still in the title picture, a bit further behind with a combined total of 132 points. Olivier Robert (FRA) is right on his heels, rounding out the top five only two points behind.
