Berlin, Germany – July 23, 2021 – Despite their recent partnership, Nayel Nassar (EGY) and Coronado conquered their first win together on Friday topping 37 other combinations in the €25,500 Idee Kaffee Prize CSI 5*. The Egyptian teamed up with the 12-year-old Holsteiner gelding (Cassini I x Acord II), completing both sections of the 1.45m challenge without having any penalties attributed to them, breaking the beam of the final timers in 24.97 seconds to secure the victory.
Leopold van Asten (NED) and VDL Groep Hutch (Numero Uno x Corofino 2) were just two-hundredths of a second slower than the winning duo, a mark that earned them a second-place finish.
The third spot on the podium was claimed by Ireland as Mark McAuley (IRL) guided Engerupgaards Cezanne (Balou du Rouet x Lucky Light) across the finish line in 25.26 seconds.
