
Valkenswaard, The Netherlands – June 06, 2021 – After the win by Ben Maher (GBR) and Explosion W in the €300,000 LGCT Grand Prix of Valkenswaard CSI 5* the day before, Britain was back on top of the podium again, this time on the final day of the Longines Global Champions Tour of Valkenswaard CSI 5* at Tops International Arena. Jodie Hall McAteer (GBR) and Kimosa van het Kritrahof sped to victory in the €25,500 Speed Challenge CSI 5* on Sunday to conclude their participation at the event in grand fashion.
The Brit and the 11-year-old bay Belgian Warmblood mare (Chatman x Eros Platiere) were supreme in the 1.45m challenge, leaving all the poles up for no penalties and tripping the timers in 55.04 seconds.
After winning the €25,500 Two-Phase Challenge CSI 5* on Thursday, Pius Schwizer (SUI) and Balou Rubin R (Balou du Rouet x Couleur-Rubin) came close to their second week of the week, earning silver honors in 55.61 seconds.
Gudrun Patteet (BEL) and Sea Coast Monalisa van’t Paradijs (Bamako de Muze x Emerald) claimed bronze honors backed by a penalty-free effort in 57.63 seconds.
