Niklaus Schurtenberger & Lireu Top $32,200 Les Trois Rois Schweizer Cup Final CSIO 5*

St. Gallen, Switzerland – June 05, 2021 – Niklaus Schurtenberger (SUI) and Lireu turned on the nitro to win the $32,200 Les Trois Rois Schweizer Cup Final CSIO 5* on Saturday during the penultimate day of the Longines CSIO 5* of St. Gallen.

The Swiss and the 10-year-old bay Holsteiner gelding were clear in both rounds, blazing in the winning round while leaving all the poles up for no penalties, stopping the timers in 55.86 seconds.

Local rider Edy Tanner (SUI) rode Bell Ragazzo to second place, a bit further back with a final time of 60.02 seconds.

Paul Estermann (SUI) and Dover came in third despite having one rail down in the first round, completing the winning round flawlessly in 54.06 seconds.
