Janika Sprunger & Carlotta Power to Win Eggel & Partner Baumanagement Prize CSIO 5* at St. Gallen

St. Gallen, Switzerland – June 03, 2021 – Swiss domination to start the show! The host country got off to a great start on the first day of the Longines CSIO 5* of St. Gallen. Besides the victories in the preliminary classes, the first important contest of the week was claimed by another Swiss rider, this time Janika Sprunger (SUI) on Carlotta 276.

The Swiss rode the 9-year-old grey Westphalian mare (Cornet Obolensky x Arpeggio) to victory in the CHF $10,000 Eggel & Partner Baumanagement Prize CSIO 5*, a two-phase jumping competition. The duo advanced to and completed the second phase without having any penalties, securing the victory in 34.33 seconds.

Pénélope Leprévost (FRA) and Texas (Tornesh x Robin Z) were the runners-up, matching the clear performance of the eventual winners all the way to the end, being timed at 34.68 second at the finish line.

Switzerland was back on the podium with Elin Ott (SUI) and Nanu (New Time x Corofino 2), securing bronze honors only twelve-hundredths of a second slower than the latter two.
