St. Gallen, Switzerland – May 31, 2021 – In order to offer more countries opportunities to compete before the Olympic Games, ten teams will be admitted to the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup of Switzerland CSIO 5* on Sunday, 6 June 2021. In addition, as a result of the cancellation of the Nations Cups in Falsterbo, Hickstead and Dublin, the FEI (Fédération Équestre Internationale) has reallocated the teams in the Europe Division. Thus, our southern neighbour Italy replaces our western neighbour France. Norway had also been planned. However, due to the short notice, the federation had to cancel, which is why Israel is now competing. Egypt completes the participating nations. With the exception of Italy, all the competing nations will face each other again just two months later at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
The teams participating in the 2021 Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup of Switzerland CSIO 5* are the following: Brazil, Egypt, Germany, Great Britain, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands and Sweden.
