Sanne Thijssen & Hi There Soar to First in €25,500 Kep Italia Two-Phase Challenge CSI 4*

Gorla Minore, Italy – May 15, 2021 – Sanne Thijssen (NED) and Hi There soared to victory in the €25,500 Kep Italia Two-Phase Challenge CSI 4* last week during the first of two week of the Milan to Rome CSI 4* & 3* at the Equieffe Equestrian Centre. It was a very competitive class, not judging only by the number of 86 combinations that entered the main arena, but also by the level expertise displayed by riders and horses.

In the end, Thijssen advanced to and completed the two-phase challenge without having any penalties attributed to her and the 9-year-old bay Dutch Warmblood stallion (Nabab de Reve x Numero Uno), breaking the beam of the final timers in 27.10 seconds.

Thibeau Spits (BEL) and Classic Touch DH (Casall x Corrado I) also managed to clear all the 1.50m obstacles on both sections of the course, being just four-tenths of a second slower than the latter two.

The third spot on the podium was claimed by Michael Pender (IRL) and HHS Javas Gucci (Luidam x Cruising), who were clean all the way to the end, registering the third-fastest time of 28.10 seconds.
