Daniel Bluman & Ubiluc Top $37,000 New York Welcome Stake CSI 2* at Old Salem Farm

North Salem, New York – May 14, 2021- There aren’t many feelings better than winning at a horse show and it’s even better when you win close to home. That’s exactly what Daniel Bluman (ISR) achieved yesterday, teaming up with Ubiluc to claim top honors in the $37,000 New York Welcome Stake CSI 2*, presented by the Kincaid Group.

A total of thirty-four combinations entered the ring for the first of three CSI 2* classes during the first week of the Old Salem Farm Spring Horse Show at Old Salem Farm, situated north of New York. Bluman and the 9-year-old bay Mecklenburg stallion (Ubiko x Lucian) edged Beat Mandli (SUI) and Dijon Terdoorn Z (Diamant de Semilly x Lord Z), who claimed silver honors.

The level of competition was high as McLain Ward (USA), a former number-one ranked rider in the world, guided Contagious (Contagio x For Keeps) towards the third spot on the podium.
