Alexa Ferrer & Encantado C’SG Excel in €25,400 Hubside Jump-off Challenge CSI 4*

Grimaud, Saint Tropez, France – May 01, 2021 – After two wins by Julien Epaillard (FRA) on Friday and Nicolas Delmotte (FRA) claiming top honors in the CSI 4* opener on Saturday, France continued to fly higher than any other nation. Les Bleus triumphed once again as Alexa Ferrer (FRA) and Encantado SG put on the best performance in the €25,400 Hubside Jump-off Challenge CSI 4*.

Ferrer flew to her first CSI 4* victory aboard the 2009 bay Dutch Warmblood stallion (Verdi TN x Zeus), clearing all the 1.45m obstacles in the tiebreaker too, completed their run in 41.08 seconds.

Her victory was even great, since the French rider overcame firce competitions from an all-time great. The only Rolex Grand Slam Triple Crown winner, Scott Brash (GBR) matched the clean scorecard of the eventual winners, riding (Comme d’Api V/D Hacienda Z) Hello Mr President across the finish line in 41.50 seconds during the tiebreaker for reserve honors.

Having just won the last leg of the Rolex Grand Slam, Max Kühner (AUT) showed great form with Vancouver Dreams  (Valentino x Stakkato), completing the podium in 42.08 seconds.

“I’m delighted! I saw that the jump-off was going quite quickly so I left a little feeling. I was a little behind the others before the last row but I had a very good distance during the U-turn on the second last and then I was able to go on the last one without braking. Encantado SG responded and that’s really great!”
