
Vilamoura, Quarteira, Faro, Portugal – February 21, 2021 – Youth beat experience to conclude the fourth week of the Vilamoura Atlantic Tour last Sunday at the Vilamoura Equestrian Centre with a British victory. Lily Attwood (GBR) and Cor-Leon Vd Vlierbeek Z overcame renowned names of the sport and more experienced competitors to win the €51,700 Grand Prix CSI 3*.

The teenage British rider and the 11-year-old bay Zangersheide gelding (Calvaro Z x Omar) were flawless over the two rounds they performed in, clearing all the 1.50m obstacles before dashing across the finish line in 36.44 seconds for the victory.
José Thiry (BEL) and Jalisco W van de Wolvenhoek (Vivaldi du Seigneur) were the closest ones, finishing second only due to their final time of 37.49 seconds.
Another British also secured a spot on the podium as Stephen Lohoar (GBR) and Delius F ( Handel x Kannan) were the only other combination that registered two penalty-free efforts,, rounding out the top three after completing their jump-off effort in 40.44 seconds.
