Valencia, Spain – January 31, 2021 – Edwina Tops-Alexander (AUS) has been sidelined from competition after sustaining an injury last Friday while competing at the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour. The two-time Longines Global Champions Tour wishes to be back in the ring soon, hopefully for the first leg of the 2021 Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT) next month in Doha, Qatar.
The Australian rider made the following statement on her Facebook account:
Unfortunately, I didn’t have a great end to the show in Oliva. After a bad fall on Friday it turns out that I have only broken 2 ribs. I’m super fortunate to only have this minor injury and I want to thank everyone for there kind support and messages over the past days. I’ll be fine ,I’m a true Aussie and hopefully I’ll be able to ride in Doha in 4 weeks. I’ll keep you posted and hope to make a few videos in the mean time.”
On behalf of Jumper News, we wish Edwina Tops-Alexander (AUS) a speedy recovery and successful return soon.
