
Salzburg, Austria – January 17, 2021 – Tom Schellekens (NED) and Fiarabo upset the favorites to win the €26,100 Grand Prix of Salzburg CSI 2*, presented by Pro Equitron, yesterday during the first week of the Amadeus Horse Indoors CSI 4* & 2* at the Salzburg Arena.
The Dutchman was supreme aboard the 11-year-old bay Dutch Warmblood mare (Diarado x Padinus), securing top honors in the 1.45m jump-off contest after registering their second penalty-free effort, time in 41.95 seconds.
It was a one-two for the “Orangemen” as Kim Emmen (NED) guided Warriors Glory (Warrior x Caretino Glory) towards two flawless performances as well, finishing second due to the final time of 42.85 seconds.
Annina Zuger (SUI) and Batman d’Auiguilly (Diamant de Semilly x Caretino 2) rounded out the top three, backed by a clean scorecard and a time of 44.74 seconds during the tiebreaker.
