Julien Epaillard & Usual Suspect d’Auge Jump to First in €30,600 CHG Grand Prix CSI 2* at Oliva Nova

Oliva Nova, Spain – January 17, 2021 – Julien Epaillard (FRA) and Usual Suspect d’Auge triumphed in the €30,600 Grand Prix CSI 2* for the CHG – Construcciones Hispano Germanas S.A Trophy on Sunday to conclude the first week of the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour‘s Spring Series.

Once again, the speedy Frenchman was supreme aboard the 12-year-old Selle Français gelding (Jarnac x Papillon Rouge), completing the 1.45m challenge with the fastest clear performance among the 17 combinations that advanced to the jump-off out 0f 62 entries, crossing the final timers in 33.34 seconds.

After winning the main class the day before, Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann (GER) and Buettner’s Minimax (Cornado Nrw x Antaeus) had another solid performance, finishing second only due to their time of 35.69 seconds. during the tiebreaker.

Olivier Philippaerts (BEL) and Le Blue Diamont van’t Ruytershof (Plot Blue x Diamant de Semilly) completed the podium after registering a clean scorecard and a time of 36.08 seconds in the decisive phase of the contest.
