Wellington, Florida, USA – December 18, 2020 – At the onset of the ESP New Year’s Show, Delaney Flynn (USA) and Milan IV, owned by Grace Jacobsen, set the pace to take home the blue ribbon in the $10,000 1.40m Open Stake, presented by Score At The Top.
Thirty-four competitors contested the first-round course with eight horse-and-rider pairs continuing on to the jump-off at the International Arena of the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center (PBIEC). Of those eight competitors, three duos completed the second course fault-free.
In a leading clear time of 33.02 seconds, Delaney Flynn (USA) and the 15-year-old Holsteiner gelding (Lasino x Quinar) successfully conquered the course and the rest of the field to win the top prize.
Just milliseconds off the winners’ time, Darragh Kenny (IRL) nabbed second place riding Vlock Show Stables LLC’s Albert K in a fault-free time of 33.06 seconds.
Erynn Ballard (CAN) and Corner Pocket Z, owned by The Z Group, earned third place in a clear 33.22 seconds.
