Oliva Nova, Spain – December 03, 2020 – Nine-five combinations took to the ring yesterday in the first qualifier for Sunday’s Grand Prix during the second week of the 2020 Mediterranean Equestrian Tour‘s Autumn Tour III. In the end, the Belgian flag was raised higher than the rest, with Koen Vereecke (BEL) and Donna vd Windeweg Z claiming top honors in the €10,900 Speed Challenge CSI 2*.
The Belgian and the 2010 bay Zangersheide mare (Diamant de Semilly x C Indoctro) dashed towards victory across the finish line in 59.84 seconds after leaving all the poles up for no penalties in their performance.
Michael Pender (IRL) and HHS Fortune (Catoki x Douglas) were the runners-up, timed in 60.45 seconds while Charlotte Bettendorf (LUX) and Nababette Z (Nabab de Reve x Gasper) rounded out the top three backed by a penalty-free effort in 60.83 seconds.
