Oliva Nova, Spain – November 14, 2020 – The “Three Musketeers of Speed” once again stole the spotlight at the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour during the third week of the Autumn Tour II there. It was another epic battle, this time in the €25,700 Oliva Nova Beach & Golf Resort Prize CSI 2*.
Harold Boisset (FRA) has been the best rider this year competing at the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour, most of his wins coming aboard T’Obetty du Domaine or Divine de La Roque. The latest one came aboard the latter mount, riding the 12-year-old bay Dutch Warmblood mare (For Hero x Kannan) towards another blazing victorious in a 1.45m jump-off test, completing their second flawless effort in 34.07 seconds.
Julien Epaillard (FRA) came close to dethroning his fellow countryman once again, having to settle for second aboard Usual Suspect d’Auge (Jarnac x Papillon Rouge), with a final time only fourteen-hundredths of a second slower than the eventual winners.
Another “Battle” of this epic “War” among three of the fastest riders in the world had the same podium as in the €26,600 Two-Phase Challenge CSI 2* just over a week ago. David Will (GER) and Veneno (Chacco-Blue x Balou du Rouet) claimed bronze honors, advancing and completing the jump-off without penalties, crossing the finish line in 34.63 seconds.
