San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico – October 04, 2020 – Jaime Azacarraga Romandia (MEX) and Verdinale were victorious in the MXN $300,000 Clásico CSI 2* last Sunday during the final day of the second and final week of the Otomí Grand Prix at the Club Hípico Otomí.
The Mexican and the 12-year-old Hanoverian mare (Verdi TN x Drosselklang II) advanced and completed the jump-off without having any penalties attributed to them, securing the victory in 37.09 seconds.
After the one-two by John Perez Bohm (COL) in the $1,100,000 Banbajío Grand Prix CSI 2* the day before, Colombia came close to another win. This time, Jorge Andres Muñoz Marin (COL) and Kingsland III (Der Senaat x Grannus) rode towards silver honors for the latin-american country, registering no penalties and a final time of 37.70 seconds.
Felipo Godinho Marcondes (BRA) and Firefly (DL Wittinger x Corland) had the only clean scorecard of the 1.40m challenge, completing their second effort in 39.54 seconds.
