Grimaud, France – September 25, 2020 – Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA) and Carlotta 232 put on flying performance to win the €35,000 Hubside Speed Challenge CSI 5* yesterday during the HubsideJumping Fall Tour.

The Italian and the 11-year-old bay Oldenburg mare‘s (Chaccomo x Cento) penalty-free performance in 60.53 seconds proved unbeatable being closely followed by Rodrigo Giesteira Almeida (POR) and Farah (Arezzo VDL x Concorde), the latter two stopping the timers in 64.63 seconds.

One of the most consistent riders this year while competing at the Hubside Jumping, Marlon Módolo Zanotelli (BRA) secured a third-place aboard, Abelone O.T Lowlands Z (Andiamo Z x Diamant de Semilly), registering no penalties in 64.66 seconds.

Carlotta is always very fast! Last week we were a bit unlucky on two occasions. We were very fast but with a fault at the end of the course. It was better today. To save time, I first took seven strides between number 1 and number 2, then I turned very short to tackle number 11. Carlotta spins really very easily, it is an advantage for me in this type of challenge. She may have another test tomorrow, but I haven’t decided yet. As for Sunday’s grand prix, I will take the start with Chalou.

Carlotta est toujours très rapide ! La semaine dernière nous avons manqué un peu de chance à deux reprises. Nous étions très rapides mais avec une faute en fin de parcours. C’est mieux aujourd’hui. Pour gagner du temps, j’ai d’abord fait sept foulées entre le numéro 1 et le numéro 2, puis j’ai tourné très court pour aborder le numéro 11. Carlotta tourne vraiment très facilement, c’est un avantage pour moi dans ce type d’épreuves. Elle fera peut-être encore une épreuve demain, mais je n’ai pas encore décidé. Quant au grand prix de dimanche, je prendrai le départ avec Chalou.
