Kronenberg, The Netherlands – September 11, 2020 – Laura Renwick (GBR) and Arkuga had great results last week competing at the Equestrian Centre de Peelbergen. Before winning the €25,850 Parkhotel Horst Grand Prix CSI 2* last Sunday, she teamed up with her faithful partner to claim top honors in the €26,100 Summa Prize CSI 2*.
The Brit and the 9-year-old bay Anglo-European Sport Horse gelding (Arko III x Hearbreaker) were brilliant, clearing all the 1.45m obstacles not only to advance to the jump-off, but also registering the fastest time of 41.25 seconds for the victory.
Chloe Reid (USA) and Souper Shuttle (Stakkato x La Zarras 2) earned silver honors after completing their penalty-free jump-off effort in 41.71 seconds.
Mathijs van Asten (NED) and Yagudin (Berlin x Irco Mena) were right on the heels of the American, finishing only two-hundredths of a second off their pace, a mark that earned them the third spot on the podium.
