Valkenswaard, The Neterlands – August 30, 2020 – The final day of thrilling competition at the Global Future Champions was held on Sunday as the stars of the future were bidding for glory in young rider, junior, children and pony classes in the stunning setting of Tops International Arena. 

With perfect footing in the magnificent sand arenas, purpose-built permanent stabling and exceptional facilities for grooms and riders alike, young riders were making the most of the opportunity to learn and perform in a world-class environment.

The last Final of the Global Future Champions was the one for the Young Riders. Sonke Fellenberg (GER) and Chakira TF posted the fastest clear round in the jump-off to win the title. The German rode the 9-year-old grey Westphalian mare (Congress 4 x Bormio XX) flawlessly across the finish line in 40.70 seconds.

The runners-up were Vincent Dings (NED) with Daylight , registering no penalties and a final time of 41.08 seconds.

William Fletcher (GBR) and Persimmon (Salute R P x Indorado) also had a clean scorecared at the end of their two performances, completing the podium in 43.02 seconds.
