Marc Houtzager & Sterrehof’s Dante Crowned 2020 Dutch Champions!

Kronenberg, The Netherlands – August 09, 2020 – The 2020 Dutch Jumping National Championships came to an end yesterday at the Equestrian Centre de Peelbergen. Marc Houtzager (NED) and Sterrehof’s Dante were the most consistent duo, claiming the crown of 2020 Dutch Jumping Champions.

Houtzager and the Stoeterij Sterrehof’s 12-year-old bay Dutch Warmblood mare (Canturano x Phin Phin) left all the rails up in all their four performances, registering a total of only 2.08 penalty-points at the end of the three classes.

Former world number one ranked rider in the world, Harrie Smolders (NED) teamed up with Evergate Stables’ Dolinn (Cardento x Lux) for silver honors, finishing second due to their final score of 6.91 penalty-points.

The podium was completed by another national legend in the sport as Jeroen Dubbeldam (NED) guided Oak Grove’s Carlyle (Casall x Corrado I) to a combined score of 7.56 penalty-points.
