Del Mar, California, USA – August 08, 2020 – The Del Mar Summer Classic came to an end on Saturday after a fantastic week at the beautiful Del Mar Horse Park. The highlight event of the event was the $22,500 GGT Footing Summertime Grand Prix. With over 50 entries, the competition was fierce over Michael Roy Curtis’ challenging track. Alexis Sokolov blazed to double clear victory aboard Scarface, claiming the lion’s share of the purse.

The American and the 11-year-old bay Czech Warmblood mare (Aristo Z x Landos) with secured the victory backed by a jump-off time of 37.715 seconds.

Taking reserve champion honors with a time of 38.298 seconds was Keri Potter (USA) and Ariell La Sirene (Arioso du Theillet x Silvio I).

Rdounding out the top three were Kaitlin Campbell (USA) and Ketcho du Sud (Echo van’t Spieveld x Feo) with a final time of 38.635 seconds.
