Saugerties, New York, USA – July 17, 2020 – Nayel Nassar (EGY) and Oaks Redwood rose to the occasion to claim first place in the $25,000 SmartPak Grand Prix during the Great American Summer Series last Friday at Hits Saugerties.
The Egyptian rider and Evergate Stables‘ 15-year-old chestnut gelding (ASB Conquistador x Verdi) claimed top honors in the feature class of the day after a brilliant effort in 44.749 seconds during the tiebreaker.
McLain Ward (USA) and Imagine van de Hermitage (Darco x Voltaire) were the runners-up in 45.462 seconds.
Bliss Heers (USA) and Antidote de Mars (Diamant de Semilly x Jarnac) completed the podium with a final time of 45.744 seconds.
