Wellington, Florida, USA – June 8, 2020 – The long-awaited ESP June Spring Series officially kicked off last week. It started with the ESP June Equitation Day on Wednesday, June 3, followed by four full days of USEF “A” National & Jumper 4* competition.
Alberto Michan (ISR) and Cosa Nostra were the winners of the $10,000 Joe DiMaggio Children’s Health Specialty Center Open Stake on Friday.The Mexican-born rider who represents Israel rode the 10-year-old Oldenburg mare (Conthargos x Quintender) to victory after two penalty-free rounds and a final time of 49.611 seconds during the tiebreaker.
Emily Ward (GBR) and Millioninmind (Ard VDL Douglas x Glidawn Diamond) were also double clear, placing second backed by a jump-off effort in 50.391 seconds.
Erynn Ballard (CAN) came in third with Ilan Ferder’s Bettina Des Celtes (New Boy de Logerie x Cumano), the only difference being their final time of 50.663 seconds.
