Wellington, Florida, USA – June 06, 2020 – After suffering an accident while going for a bike ride in Wellington on the 19th of May, Lauren Hough (USA) had to undergo surgery on her shoulder.
As we reported last month, the American was on her daily bike ride home from the stables when she was hit by a car. Luckily, she had no broken bones nor any life-threatening injuries, but she did have a dislocated shoulder, serious bruising, and lacerations which would take some time to heal. At first, she was released from the hospital to recuperate at home, but later on the decision was made for her to undergo the medical procedure.

The American gave the following update about her condition on her Facebook page:
“The surgery to repair the damage to my shoulder went well yesterday. I’m resting comfortably at home with Mark and my mom, both taking good care of me. I’m trying hard to be a good patient!”
“I would like to thank Dr. Ryan Simovitch and the whole team at the Hospital for Special Surgery for their amazing care and expertise. Also, a huge thank you to Dr. Nick Sama and to Dr. Chris Fox for their guidance and friendship.”
“I’m extremely grateful to everyone for your support. I still have a long road ahead of me, but I will be back stronger than ever! More updates to come…”
On behalf of Jumper News, we wish Lauren a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing her back in the ring soon.
