West Palm Events Forced to Cancel its Events at Horse Park in Woodside

2020. Events West Palm Events Forced to Cancel Events at Woodside McCool
Woodside, California, USA – May 21, 2020 – As you are no doubt aware, the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) has lifted its competition suspension as of June 1, 2020. We have been diligently working to meet new USEF guidelines for addressing COVID-19 and ensure that proper measures are in place to make a return to showing as safe as possible. Additionally, we are working with state and local officials to gain approval for each show.
Unfortunately, local officials who govern the Horse Park at Woodside are not authorizing our scheduled June and July shows. Therefore, we are regretfully cancelling the following shows:
  • Woodside Circuit Opener, June 17-21, 2020, Horse Park at Woodside
  • Bay Area Festival, June 24-28, 2020, Horse Park at Woodside
  • Golden Gate Classic, July 1-3, 2020, Horse Park at Woodside
If you submitted entries they will be destroyed, and no deposits have been taken. We are deeply disappointed and know that you are too. We are grateful for the support of our Northern California friends and were excited that so many of you were planning to join us.
We will continue to work to secure approval for the Silicon Valley Equestrian Festival 1 and 2 at the end of August. In addition, we are still planning to hold the Huntington Beach Surf Classic is July 2 -4, the Huntington Beach Sunshine Classic is July 8 – 11, and the Huntington Beach Summer Classic is August 6 – 9. You can find the full revised schedule at
We will keep providing you with as much information as we have. Until then, feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.
With gratitude,
