
Quarteira, Faro, Portugal – Sunday, February 03, 2020 – Titouan Schumacher (FRA) and Atome Z won the €51,200 Grand Prix CSI 3* on Sunday during the first week of the Vilamoura Atlantic Tour at the Vilamoura Equestrian Centre in Portugal.
The Frenchman and the 13-year-old Zangersheide gelding (Amadeus Z*Brimbelles x Toulon) showed both scope and speed throughout their two performances in the 1.50m contest, securing the victory in 40.88 seconds.
Mathieu Billot (FRA) and Quel Filou 13 (Quidam’s Rubin x Cascavelle) were the only other combination that had qualified for the jump-off, registering a clean scorecard and a final time of 41.17 seconds.
Guy Williams (GBR) and Rouge de Ravel (Ultimo Van Ter Moude x Quouglof Rouge) had one pole down for four penalty-points in the first round, still managing another top-three finish due to their fast time of 74.67 seconds.
