
Oliva Nova, Spain – January 24, 2020 – Lorenzo de Luca (ITA) and Amarit d’Amour were the winners of the €26,400 Grand Prix Qualifier CSI 2*, presented by Oliva Nova Beach & Golf Resort yesterday during the second week of the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour in Spain.
A total of 83 combinations entered the ring for the 1.45m two-phase challenge, with the Italian and the 11-year-old chestnut Westphalian gelding (Ashby x Damiani) coming out on top by registering no penalties in both sections of the course, completing the final one in 35.38 seconds for the victory.
Stefan Eder (AUT) and Farouche 3 (Andiamo x Oklund) were the runners-up, going through the finish line in 35.64 seconds after a penalty-free effort.
After winning the qualifier a week ago, Pedro Veniss (BRA) teamed up with another ride, Go For It (Padinus x Clinton), to finish third. The consistent Brazilian had the third fastest final time of 35.78 seconds and a clean scorecard to earn bronze honors.
