
Kronenberg, The Netherlands – January 19, 2020 – Leopold Van Asten (NED) and VDL Groep Falco were the winners of the €25,850 Van Mossel Automotive Group Grand Prix CSI 2* last Sunday during the second week of the New Year Tour at the Equestrian Centre de Peelbergen in the Netherlands.
The Dutchman and the 10-year-old grey Dutch Warmblood gelding (Clearway x Jalisco B) were supreme in the 1.45m challenge by registering their second penalty-free performance, timed in 38.46 seconds.
Rossen Raitchev (BUL) and Chester (Verdi TN x Propilot) earned silver honors, matching the winners’ double clear yet completing their jump-off effort in 38.71 seconds.
Wilma Marklund (SWE) and Carlogero (Colander x Domino) rounded out the top three backed by a clean scorecard and a final time of 39.60 seconds during the tiebreaker.
