
Guadalajara, Mexico – January 18, 2020 – Juan Carlos Martin Del Campo Martinez (MEX) and Paddington 92 jumped to victory in the MXN $1,070,000 Grand Prix CSI 3* yesterday during the Triple Copa Scappino CSI 3* at the Guadalajara Country Club.
A total of six combinations advanced to the jump-off, moreover, all of them were from the host nation. Martinez and the 13-year-old bay Westphalian (Pontifex x Landabel) triumphed after registering their second penalty-free performance in the 1.50m contest, completing the course in 40.63 seconds.
Salvador Oñate Barron (MEX) and Beatiful Red (Casall x Colman) were the only other pair that also had a clean scorecard, finishing second in 42.31 seconds.
Jose Alberto Martinez Vazquez (MEX) and Quinley (Quintero x Helena-s) had the fastest jump-off effort, but their time of 40.09 seconds came at the expense of one rail down, meaning that they would have to settle for third place.
