Las Vegas, Nevada, USA – November 15, 2019 – Andrew Ramsay (USA) and California 62 claimed top honors in the $36,000 FEI 1.50m Las Vegas National Welcome Jumper Speed Classic CSI 3* yesterday during the Las Vegas National Horse Show CSI 3*-W.

Seventy-one pairs faced the 1.50m obstacles of the speed challenge but Ramsay came out on top aboard the 15-year-old grey Holsteiner mare (San Patrignano Cassini x Galant Vert) after leaving all the poles up for no penalties and registering a time of 59.57 seconds.

Kaitlin Campbell (USA) aboard Paul Tracy and Spy Coast Farms LLC’s Palina de L’Escaut (Perigueux x Gardeulan) finished in second with a clear round, timed in 61.10 seconds.

Mathis Schwentker (GER) guided NKH Caruso (Cash & Carry) to bronze honors, just one hundredth of a second slower than the previous two.

The American and the mare, owned by The California Group, have been paired together for nearly four years. “We have a good partnership together, we know each other and she has been a wonderful horse for me,” Ramsay shared of his partner.
