Thermal, California, USA – November 07, 2019 – Brian Cournane (IRL) and Penelope Cruz claimed top honors in the $40,000 Desert Classic CSI 3*, sponsored by Purina Animal Nutrition yesterday during the National Sunshine Series II CSI 3*-W at the Desert International Horse Park in the USA.

Eighty-one combinations challenged Alan Wade‘s (IRL) 1.50m course, with 11 qualifying for the jump-off.

The Irishman and the 11-year-old bay Irish Sport Horse mare (Ustinov x Peter Pan) were victorious by registering no penalties and crossing the finish line in   43.28 seconds.

Adrienne Sternlicht (USA) & Bennys Legacy

Adrienne Sternlicht (USA) guided Bennys Legacy (Lupicor x Voltaire) to a second-place finish by matching the winners’ double clear, being timed in 43.43 seconds.

Alessandra Volpi (USA) & Taiwan du Landey

Alessandra Volpi (USA) and Taiwan du Landey (Flipper D’elle*HN* x Quouglof Roge) teamed up for bronze honors, backed by a penalry-free performance in 43.83 seconds.
