
Liège, Belgium – November 03, 2019 – Andres Vereecke (BEL) and Igor van de Wittemoere won the €100,000 Grand Prix de la Province de Liège CSI 4* yesterday during the Jumping International de Liège CSI 4* in Belgium.
The Belgian and the 11-year-old bay Belgian Warmblood gelding (Cooper vd Heffinck x Orlando) were supreme in the 1.60m contest by advancing to and completing the jump-off without having any penalties attributed to them, securing the victory in 34.58 seconds.
After winning the $136,300 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Washington CSI 4*-W the previous week, Laura Kraut (USA) came close to making it two in a row. This time, the American finished second aboard Curious George (Codex One x Dutch Capitol), registering no penalties and a time of 35.36 seconds during the tiebreaker.
Gerfried Puck (AUT) and Bingo du Parc (Mylord Carthago*HN x Diamant de Semilly) rounded out the top three after a second clean performance, crossing the finish line in 35.95 seconds.
