Jos Verlooy Crowned Belgian Champion at Lanaken

Lanaken, Belgium – September 21, 2019 – Jos Verlooy (BEL) and Varoune were crowned Belgian Champions last Saturday during the the 25th annual FEI WBFSH World Jumping Breeding Championships in Lanaken, Belgium.

Varoune 

Verlooy (BEL) and the 11-year-old bay Oldenburg gelding (Verdi x Cardalme) took top honors by having the lowest number of penalty-points attributed to them after four performances, claiming first place and the jackpot of the €31,625 with a score of 6.23.

Second place was claimed by Pieter Clemens (BEL) and Icarus (Querlybet Hero x Skippy II) after registering 9.10 penalty-points.

Podium: 2) Pieter Clemens (BEL),  1) Jose Verlooy (BEL), 3) Wilm Vermeir (BEL)

Wilm Vermeir (BEL) and King Kong d’Avifauna (Bealieu’s Big Think x Kashmir van Schuttershof) rounded out the top three backed by a combined score of 11.39 penalty-points.
