Lier, Belgium – September 08, 2019 – Harrie Smolders (NED) and Monaco won the €50,200 Woody Fence Grand Prix CSI 3* last Sunday during the Horseman Masters at the Azelhof Equestrian Center in Lier, Belgium.
The Dutchman and Evergate Stables’ 10-year-old bay gelding (Cassini II x Contender) were supreme in the 1.50m/1.55m jump-off challenge, leaving all the poles up for no penalties and completing the jump-off course in 38.77 seconds.
Jos Verlooy (BEL) and Varoune (Verdi x Cardalme) were the runners-up, registering no penalties in 39.82 seconds at the end of the jump-off performance.
Emma Augier de Moussac (CZE) and J.C.S. Chacco Dia (Diarado x Chacco Blue) rounded out the top three backed by two clean runs, the second one in 42.83 seconds.
