Rome, Italy – September 07, 2019 – Simon Delestre (FRA) and Filou Carlo Zimequest won the €59,400 First GCL Competition CSI 5* yesterday during the Longines Global Champions Tour of Rome CSI 5*/2* at Stadio dei Marmi in Rome, Italy.

The Frenchman and the 10-year-old grey Westphalian gelding (Coronas x For Pleasure) were supreme in the 1.50m/1.55m speed challenge, securing the win backed by a penalty-free effort in 74.80 seconds.
Constant van Paesschen (BEL) and Verdi Treize (Diamant de Semilly x Eiger) were the runners-up, the only difference being their time of 75.71 seconds.
Ben Maher (GBR) and Explosion W (Chacco-Blue x Baloubet du Rouet) also left all the poles up for no penalties, earning bronze honors in 76.16 seconds.
