
John Whitaker (GBR) and Argento won the two-phase class CSI 3* today during the Jumping International Valence CSI 3* at Haras des Grillons in France.
The Brit and the 17-year-old Anglo-European stallion (Arko II x Gasper) advanced to and completed the second phase of the 1.45m challenge without having any penalties attributed to them, stopping the final timers in 29.73 seconds for the victory.
Julien Anquetin (FRA) and Talika des Isles (Jarnac x Royal Feu) were the runners-up, clearing all the obstacles in both sections of the contest, completing the final one in 30.06 seconds.
Alexandre Fontanelle (FRA) and Quaprice de L’Etivant (Carpaccio x Qualisco) rounded out the top three backed by a clean scorecard, stopping the final timers in 30.30 seconds.
