Beervelde, Belgium – August 04, 2019 – The first of two Grands Prix was held Sunday morning during the Flanders Horse Event, in Beervelde, Belgium.

Tiders got to jump the difficult €25,400 Grand Prix CSI 2*  but in the end 16 out of the 64 starting combinations managed to jump a clear first round and came back for the jump-off.

All riders went fast as lightening in the jump-off. Wouter Devos (BEL) was the first combination to enter the show ring for the jump-off with Kadafi Van’T Hof. They rode a fast round in 49,79 seconds but Kadafi had one fence down.

But now the next combinations did know more or less what the time could/would be. Thomas Leemans (BEL) was the next rider to enter the show ground and he did jump a faster round with Gracchus DM (Wander vd Mispelaere x Eros Platiere) but he also got four penalty-points for one rail down. However, Leemans showed that it was possible to ride a faster round than the round of Devos.

The audience had to wait a while, but in the end, a clear jump-off performance happened. Italian rider Silvia Bazzani (ITA) and Chico Z (Coriano x Jackson) crossed the finish line in 44.22 seconds to take the lead temporarily. They would eventually finish in third place.

This tome already seemed to be quite fast, but Gudrun Patteet (BEL) proved that it was possible to ride an even faster round. She jumped a clear jump-off with Sea Coast Crystal de Leau (E.T.) (Clapton x Capitol) in 41.01 seconds. Because of that, Bazzani moved to the second place and Patteet took over the lead.

Juliette Faligot (FRA) and Appy Days Une Prince (Dollar dela Pierre x Clair de B’Neville) claimed fourth place. Lore Decock (BEL) and Heschung Van’T Adeldonk (Wandor vd Mispelaere x Feridoon) ended fifth.
