
Zuidwolde, The Netherlands, July 14, 2019 – Philipp Schulze Topphoff (GER) and Concordess NRW claimed Individual Gold at the 2019 FEI European Jumping Championships for Young Riders last week in Zuidwolde, The Netherlands.
The German and the 9-year-old grey Westphalian mare (Congress 4 x Acobat 3) were supreme over the five rounds of competition, having only 2.62 penalty-points attributed to them .

No champagne for Philipp Schulze Topphoff (GER) but a friendly bath to celebrate the championship title will do!
Schulze Topphoff is no stranger to success, winning team gold at the European Pony Championships in Arezzo (ITA) in 2013, and team bronze at the Pony EC in Millstreet (IRL) the following year. Last summer he took team gold again at the Young Riders EC in Fontainebleau (FRA) and, just a few weeks ago, this young man and his talented nine-year-old grey mare, Concordess NRW, were members of the German side at the Official Test of Equestrian Formats for Tokyo 2020 staged in Hagen (GER).

Paloma Barcelo (ESP) and Ines were the runners-up backed by a combined score of 5.76 penalty-points.

Lars Kersten (NED) & H-Cassino
Lars Kersten (NED) and H-Cassino (Torino x Nebelhorn) completed the podium after registering a total of 8.07 penalty-points.
